Probably its because of the reason above, I was kinda pissed over lunch just now. As usual la, lunch hour at CBD's food centre is like pasar malam - very crowded and anyone will have difficulty in finding themselves and their group a table with enough seats.
Four of us are quite lucky today cause we got the table just enough for all of us and two aunties. One wasnt eating, so the rest of us went on food hunting.
I was the first to come back. Food looked delicious la (cause first time eating from that western food stall). So on a failed attempt to wait for the two of them to come back, i began eating after the initial nibbling.
As i was happily eating and chatting wit my colleague, the two aunties left. out of nowher, this smart ass un-gentlemanly guy was quick to see and before anyone knew it, he slided into one of the empty seats. (NO KIDDING, his action was FAST & SMOOTH lo!!!) He then signaled his friend/colleague, and he came and sit down too. (there are SIX seats for each table. and they wanted to seat in a way that will separate the four of us. So politely, we told them, the adjoining 2 seats to ours, are taken.) Then, both dug their wallets, can took one card each, placed it on the chair, and walked off to buy food. -.-
In the first place, BOTH of them didnt bother to ask us if the seats were taken or not. How un-gentlemanly!!!!
NEVER offend a PMS-ING woman. Too bad la, they were really impolite and acting like most Singaporeans - KIASU, so it really pissed me off. So when they came back, (we were still waiting for the two colleagues to come back) i began sacastically talk about such behavior especially if it happens to be men doing it. And luckily im sure my boyfriend doesnt have such sucky behavior.
It was loud enough in a table for the two not really well-dressed, skinny, small sized and short un-gentlemenly creature to hear. Im sorry for myself to be so blunt. Its not right to be mean to people be it in words or actions, but i couldnt help it.
"Booking" seats with packets of tissue paper is bad enough, let alone "chopping" the seats without asking! Sigh. We should all reflect on ourselves.
